AB Max™ is an advanced 5-8 minute deep cleansing treatment to remove scurf, crust and debris from the anterior eyelid margin and eyelashes. The AB Max™ handpiece is a patented instrument you or one of your trained technicians will use to spin proprietary microsponges along the edge of your patient's outer eyelid margins and eyelashes. The AB Max™ will exfoliate the plaque and bacterial debris from your patient's anterior eyelid margins, helping improve your patient's eyelid hygiene and the overall health of their eyelids.

AB Max™ is used to treat anterior blepharitis*, an inflammatory disease of the eyelids commonly caused by bacteria (staphylococcal blepharitis) or dandruff of the scalp and eyebrows (seborrheic blepharitis). These bacteria are commonly found on the face and eyelids, but if they become excessive, or the eyelid area reacts poorly to the bacteria, an infection may occur. AB Max™ may be considered when other treatments, such as home eyelid scrubs with baby shampoo, hot compresses, and medications have failed or are contraindicated.
